I've lived in Paradise Garden Apartments since 4/2001, and have never had a reason to complain. The management is extremely helpful, and the maintenance crew tops. If I've had a leak or any problem they are at my door the same day to fix it. The pool area is kept very clean, the super-sized pool a delight in the warmer months, and the spa year around.
Since a recent fire in the North building, the owner has spent a small fortune getting everything up to the tightest codes (if anyone is planning a theft, forget about it...they'll have a hard time getting through all the fire doors and round the clock security). PGA may be one of the safest places to live now in Long Beach, and my neighbors seem to be all hard working folks or students, and very quiet.
Another aspect that makes this a good place to live is that there is a "Beautification Project" of North Long Beach in progress. Tons of money and effort is being made by the city and investors, with tile-front buildings, marvelous street lamps, and many remodeled homes are springing up in the side streets. In a year or two, I predict North Long Beach is going to be the super cool place to live, and PGA the # 1 place to rent an apartment.
