This place is horrible

i lived on the south side of the apartment from 2-06 to 6-08 and all I can say is this place was headache after headache. First of all there is an elevator that runs from the garage to the 3rd floor where i lived and it never worked. i would have to lug water and groceries up and the stairs sometimes it would be okay but most of the time it was a strain on my well-being. another thing that was horrible was the water situation. i work 70 or so hours a week and at one Pont everyday they were working on the water and when they would do this the pressure would create air gaps and the pipes would shake and an explosion of brown water would fill my sink and leave me soaked in the yummy smelly brown water. the hallways smell like something out of a smell-o-rama.
there was a fire on the north side of the building in late 06 and 2 people died in the stairwell from smoke, that side was closed off for a while for remodeling and during this time they continued to raise the rent once every 3 months like clockwork.
the swimming pool is bombarded with people that aren t even residence of the complex and they are for the most part loud and annoying and security does nothing about it.
what i think may be the worst thing of all is the fact that during my entire stay here i was never able to get digital cable or high speed internet because of this odd black whole of service where charter says that its not them and time Warner says its not them ether and that its the property management company.
on top of all this,
there was a problem with my bank and direct deposit. i had assumed that my bank account was closed and it wasn t and they were sending rent checks that didn t have money to back it up and it was being bounced while i was sending checks with my current bank. this went on for months before they said a word to me about it. and i was charged over 500 dollars in total.
this place sucked. the area sucks and the price that people pay to rent from a ---- whole like that blows me away. i live in LA now and pay about 50 dollars more a month and oddly enough, everything works here and i can get digital cable and high speed internet. If you live there MOVE if you are thinking about living there DONT. save the drama and the hassle.

i believe it being a former residence at Kerwood Manor there sister apartment complex we had the same issue with brown water that smelled like rotten eggs and constant water shutoffs...they are also known for writing there own reviews to make them look good...Kerwood & Paradise Garden are 2 Hot Ghetto Slumlord Frauds...overall the worst experience of my entire apartment history!

I'm a longer term resident than you. About the only thing we agree about is the fact they haven't fixed the elevator yet.
1. DSL - only 7,000 feet from the CO, great throughput and latency! Stop watching TV and get out of the house sometime.
2. Staff - Nice people
3. Cable - They use Aldephi, you dork. No wonder you had problems with Cable. Might try asking someone a question rather than being angry and petty.
4. I see... they are responsible for your banking too? Sorry, I don't expect my Mom to run the apartment I live in.
5. Yes, they fixed the pipes. Would you rather them not?
As for Drama and Hassle, most of what you said is SELF INFLICTED. Try a therapist, it works. And, oh, be more responsible for yourself, the drama and hassle is going to to follow you around.
