WhenI first viewed my apartment I loved it. The apartment was very spacious, I had the townhouse style and I was in heaven. Then I kept seeing roaches. I didn't have then where I move from so I know they had to be in the building. I was told when I moved in a pest control company came every wednesday and I had to come to the off to schedule them to come and spray so thats what I did. When I got there I was told roches are common in large building and they would sent someone to spray but it might not be 100% effective. I told her for the amount of rent I pay they need to cure the problem. I'm not about to pay this high rent and live with roaches. They came and sprayed and need less to say it didn't work. I tryed everything and they still stayed. They laundry facility they said they had is none exsisting. I wouldn't call 1 washer and 2 dryers for 2 buildings a facility. I would take a person forever to do laundry in the building. The perk of them paying for gas is dumb since the whole apartment is electric. She is right, my friends couldn't move in on time because they had to fumigate their aparment a second time. Tenants joke around with each other about the pest control chemicals causing the roaches to become intoxicated and reproduce even quicker. More importantly their are problems with black widow spiders in a couple of the buildings. If you are interested in moving in to this complex, check with the neighbors first. Not every building has a roach problem. Don't ask the office staff because they often don't tell you the truth. South Wood Gardens changed Managers again in Sept of 05. Issues of building maintenance and safety are not being resolved. The streets are still very rowdy. The police shot an armed 15 year old robbery suspect recently in this complex. Folks weren't allowed to leave their homes for approx 4 hours. People weren't permitted to return to their homes. It was terrible! Mothers couldn't get to their children. One lady couldn't get medication to her grandmother. The police were rude to the tenants. Where was management? Well, they closed up shop and left when they should have been helping the tenants during a time of distress. Vehicles get vandalized. A home was robbed yesterday.

I used to have tolerance for ------, I used to have respect for the black "people". My stay the dreaded Southwood Garden Apartments has changed all that. Southwood is infested with little black gang members who engage in criminal activities on the premises 24/7. Lewd and malicious crimes like shootings, car vandalism, drug-trafficking and prostitution. The laundry rooms reek of urine, they resemble stinky medievil dungeons where young black teenages go to have sex, some even deficate in the washers, the managment does nothing. The gang problem is progressively getting worse, the lazy, incompetent security "guards" run the other way whenever something "goes down". I would not recommend leasing at the Southwood Gardens to my worst enemy. My perception of black has been changed forever, I now despise the entire black race, thank you Southwood for making me feel this way towards ------. Stupid porch monkeys should all go back to Africa...............

first of all the only porch monkey I see is you because you let not even 5 percent of our race change you veiw of eeverybody that is really unfair and as far as "going back to africa" I wasn't born in africa you idiot I was born as an american and I serve this country protecting idiots like you from terriost but thank you for the reveiw anyway I know where not to rent but you my dear are and ignorent,pompus a**.
