Lots of hidden Costs

Well the partment building itself looks nice. It looks like is doesn't belong in this part of town. They advetise the apts for a very good price and as a secure building. On the other hand, as soon as you move in the hit you with a $60 deposit for a front door key and key for the garage. Mind you they never mention this and you can't get in without it. Then they hit you for another $25 for a deposit for the garage clicker. Once you have paid $100 in additional deposits that they never mentioned you get to move in. The carpet is a nasty green color but you will get used to it. All is good till your first water sewer trash bill. The complex runs all the water through 1 meter and divides the bill across the tenates. This system is fine but for some reason the bills have ranged from 60/mo up to 100/mo for a studio. 3 people have moved out so far because of this new develoment. Another hidden cost is at your 1/yr marke they raise your rent anywhere from $25-50 per month. Again not unreasonable but this price is only for you. The next person who rents your place will get the old price you were paying. Why raise the rent on a tenat that has stayed and paid on time for 1 yr' On to security, there is secure underground parking with 2 cameras in the garage and one camera on the main entry way street lvl. This is great, front door is locked and garage is locked. But the rear "emergency exits" have the alarms removed and do not lock. So any person wandering throught the alley can open the door take the stairs to whatever floor they want and walk right up to your door without ever passing a camera or locked door. Also the stairs leading to each floor from the emergency exits are totally enclosed so you will never see them comming in the back or comming up the stairs. Even though the garage is locked as i have said before their are still a few cars broken into every now and again, mainly to do with people gaining acess through a person they know that may live here. Don't count on the cameras in the garage to catch them either. Even if the camera sees them it won't be clear a clear enough shot to identify anyone, believe me the cops said the tapes are such low quality they are of no help. all in all the place seems nice but there are so many tacked on charges that i think you can easly find another place cheaper. HUGE NOTE: no air conditioning and this building gets really hot in the summer!
