Don't move here

I'm still paying rent here but am not actually physically living in my studio. It is true what the first reviewer said numerous other deposits for keys, and garage but considering you'll get that money back is no big deal. When I first saw this place, during the day, all looked well. Day and night make a huge difference. The actual building itself if nice but the location is terrible - a few blocks away from Polytech HS- yes, as in Snoop. The parking is good, although it is a bit sketchy at night. Off street parking is bad. Don't park on Walnut; the streets are so narrow you are guarenteed to get side-swiped. Be cautious of surrounding streets too...my friend's car has been hit numerous of times. Most of the residents are friendly. I unfortunately lived next to an extremely unfriendly man. I felt unsafe in this building due to the fact that someone ( sure it was my neighbor) was pounding on my door before 6:30 in the morning. This frightened me and when I asked about it, trying not to suspect my neighbor, I was told it could have been LB Police looking for someone. That in itself is not a better answer! However, it was not the police they would have identified themselves- it was my next door neighbor- I know it was. Two locks on the door still made me feel at unease. The noise is terrible. The walls are soo thin I can hear TVs, conversations...the street is bad too and echoes in everything! Teenage kids play loud metal music daily that blares in your apartment. Walnut Avenue, although narrow, is a main drag. People blast and drive through so fast they always set off car alarms...you will feel the effects of this. The water bill is unequally split. A large sum for the whole complex divided into the number of units. I am one person and could pay a bill that will vary from 19-70 while other people have 5 people residing there...it is unfair. Whenever I had a problem, it took forever to get fixed. I had a bad sink problem that took more than a month to get it fixed. The only reason it did was because I wrote another letter but this one saying I refuse to pay for a full months rent if I can't fully enjoy all my rightful amnetities. They have laundry facilities on site that were subject to close at any time. I never used them or trusted to leave my things. The trash! God! It is this square shoot about 14X17 inches or soo. A real pain when I moved in because you have to tear all your boxes into small pieces. Other than that, the studio in itself was very nice. The kitchen floors were pergo and had to be cleaned often! Great property manager, he's the one that made me feel safe. However, there are way too many minuses to makeup for the few good things about this place.
