I would be out of this place in a heartbeat if I weren't under lease. Almost two years this construction has been going on, and all the while there is absolutely no compensation for us dealing with it.

I moved in right before the construction started and loved it then. I then found that I had no privacy with the workers standing right outside my window for 4 months straight, and no quiet unless I wore earplugs. As someone who works on the weekends and has the weekdays off, I can't even sleep in or watch a movie at home in the daytime because it is constantly loud (except when the workers take their 2-hour lunch and sit around in the parking lot... I'll be writing a review about them next).

I wouldn't complain if I felt the staff cared, but the rent is still ridiculously expensive. Rusty nails are left all over the place from the construction workers, and when in the leasing office before construction started on the last building, I overheard one of the staff tell a potential renter on the phone that the cost of rent for an apartment in the building that was about to start construction was less because of that. I was never offered that deal!!!

totally agree. If you are still living here, please give me call. My life is hell. I moved here in March 09, and all the lies are incredible and...They are bullying people about the construction. They demand to have all your belongings moved from the balcony, your sliding doors are covered by plywood; you can not get air or light in. During the day the noise is intolerable. My P&G bills have doubled. The management does not offer to help with anything. The power is out several times a week. The water is shut off regularly. The dust is unbearable. Remember the cheaper rent is every where, do your homework. Specials are every where. The inside is very old. They spray the counters with chemicals to make it look good. But be careful, everything stains the counters. They promised me all kinds of comforts, including moving me to another unit. I have asked to move to another location, they said no. I have to pay much higher rent. Nasty management. The owners have some secrets. Go on line read about your right. You have a lot. The law is on you side.
