Great area, but building has problems

This is a great location - near lots of Japanese shops, the Arsenal, the Liquid Kitty and lots of great eateries. It's on a street that dead ends, so not a lot of traffic. Many of the residents are quiet couples or students. I only had to complain to one particular neighbor, who left her window open at night when she and her friends got rowdy.
I would probably still be living in this complex if not for the constant structural and maintenance issues that seemed to plague me and my fellow lower unit residents. First there was the water heater that kept breaking. It was in the laundry room, which I lived right next to. Everytime the water heater broke, it would flood and seep through the wall into my living room. This happened multiple times. It damaged my furniture and eventually led to black mold on the walls. Then there was the flooding caused by the repairs done to planters in the inner courtyard. The maintenance staff had taken out the rain gutters, and then never put them back, so when it rained, the water seeped into people's apartments. Then there was the flood when my upstairs neighbors had a toilet leak in their bathroom - it seeped through the ceiling into my apartment. I seemed to constantly have issues with water in there. They didn't force me to wait for my flooring to dry at least, and I had large portions of my carpet replaced three times. But I eventually just couldn't stand waiting for the next flood, and I gave the manager an ultimatum: put drainage in the laundry room or I would move out. Apparently, no one wanted to spend the money to prevent further damage from happening and more carpet-replacing in the future. It's too bad. I hope that the tenant who moved in after me didn't face the same problems.
Anyway, besides those issues, I loved living in this building. In fact, I ended up moving to a building that is so badly maintained, that it makes 2475 Corinth look like paradise. Oh well. And I can never move back in anyhow, because were a lot of disrespectful dog owners in there. I think they only allow cats now :(.
All in all, not a bad complex, just avoid renting a lower courtyard unit, if you can.
