I love my apartment! Yes, there are less expensive apartments in LA but you won't get a brand new place with a washer and dryer, swimming pool, gym, and business center. The grounds are well maintained and I like the people that work in the office a lot. I don't understand how there could be such rude comments about the leasing staff. I think these comments come from problem tenants. If you're a relatively hassle free person you won't have any issues living in Archstone Westside.
