There is a super high turnover rate here for a reason - this place is going downhill, fast. There are eviction notices on doors all the time. The management office needs hospitality training. They are unapologetic about situations that they are wrong about and it is unnerving to be paying a rent premium for service that isn't there. They are incredibly incompetent.

The apartment building does not feel safe because the front building doors are always propped open so anyone from the street can enter. And folks, this is not a safe neighborhood. There are shootings at the KFC and McDonald's next door all the time.

The street noise on Sawtelle is unbearable and you will have problems falling asleep.
The PNS parking system is very unreliable. Tenants have to register their cars with PNS (operated separately from Archstone) but PNS seems to always be losing paperwork and NEVER RETURNS PHONE CALLS AND NEVER EVEN PICKS UP THE PHONE. They boot and tow cars at random and sometimes, Archstone management tells them to boot and tow your car, even though you are correctly registered and the management was the one that faxed your registration papers to PNS. Incompetence, I tell ya.

The place lures you in with what seems to be a nice building with good amenities and a friendly staff. WATCH OUT, DO NOT TAKE THE BAIT. You think you're safe with the 100% guarantee but that means NOTHING!
