management has gone downhill

The previous owners (pre 2004) of this complex were awesome... personable, extremely friendly. They created almost a family setting. We had a girl who worked at the front desk, a security guard at night, and a maintenance guy that would come to fix your stuff immediately within 24 hours.
The new management that bought out the apartments in 2004 are unprofessional and impersonal. While they did improve the asthetics of the apartment, the quality of living deteriorated quickly. We complained repeatedly about termites and a leaky window that would literally have to be remedied with at least 4 of our bath towels every time it rained. If you want to pick up your mail packages or add money to your laundry card, hope the office person is there because usually they just work whenever they feel like it regardless of the posted office hours. We also got screwed on our deposit with the new management. The elevator breaks all the time, the trash chute always gets clogged, the hot tub isnt that well maintained...
To this apartment's credit, however, it IS pretty nice. Its expensive and not really worth how much you pay, but the exercise room is convenient and the location is good if you are a UCLA student. If youre a college student and you want a pretty nice place, it looks like a hotel inside and the apartments are nice. Also, you can make a moderate amount of noise and not have people complain. Dont live here if you dont want a college environment. This complex is relatively quiet, but consider that you are seriously in the middle of a college student populated area - i.e. you can sometimes hear the drunk people walking back from bars at 2am.
Parking is assigned for 2 cars, mostly tandem spots. Don't rely on parking outside, its impossible.
Its a cool and convenient place to call home for a limited time, if youre willing to deal with the little problems... Long term' No way.
