Broadcast Center Apartments

I'm in the middle.. From: -Anonymous- Date posted: 10/19/2005 Years at this apartment: 2005 - 2005   When you first come to look at the property, you enter a beautiful chadallier lit lobby with travertine tile, leading to the elevators. The building is definately in a great neighborhood. You can literally walk to everything! Its very convenient. The gym is amazing. You can see the Hollywood sign from the treadmill. It keeps me running. Over all, it seemed like a very nice, upscale place to live before I moved in. Once I moved, things didn't look so classy. I noticed trash in the halls. There are stains all over the carpet in the halls and the hallway lights are randomly out or the fixtures were broken. The front elevators are generally clean, but the back elevators are run down. I got stuck in the back elevator the day I moved in. The garages are dirty and trash usually over flows from the shoot to the garage. Don't forget about the signs in the front of the building that read, "This area has dangerous substances that is known by the state of California to cause cancer." That kind of scared me when I first read it. The staff has not been very friendly with me, except for Jake, the leasing consultant. I have learned to just go to him if I have a question or problem. He gets things done quickly and doesn't treat you like an idiot. The receptionist on the other hand is very rude. Any time I ask something I always get attitude from her. The maintenance staff is always very friendly and helpful. Always smiling. I put in a request for something to be fixed in my apartment on Monday morning and it was done before I got home from work the same day. Pretty good response. I do love the unit that I am in. It is clean and spacious. I have great views and have never had a noise problem. I have not once heard my neighbors. Every once in a while I hear people outside the door, but it is always at a reasonable time. I don't think it is as bad as some people make it out to be on this site, but it is moderate. Its not the Palazzo, but it is cleaner than Park La Brea, beleive it or not.
