Not as bad as everyone said!

Years at this apartment: 2005 - 2006
Let me address a few concerns:
Price - yes, it's a little expensive...not compared to Palazzo or Palazzo East, but it's not cheap...you are by The Grove and Farmer's Market, people...it is supposed to be one of the most desirable neighborhoods in LA.
Noise - The walls are thin. If anyone heard me have sex, I'm sorry. Other people had sex...for about 10 minutes and we made fun of them. If you are afraid of sex, don't move here. I heard the phone next door. It woke me up a few times, but it did not make me hate the apartment.
Maintenance - They responded to our complaints and fixed everything we reported. Yay for them! One of the guys got a little confused and kissed my mom. She was upset and we haven't called them since. She's not super-hot or anything, so I'm not sure what happened, but unless mainentance kisses you, don't worry.
Homeless People - Wow, folks...we're in LA, there are homeless! Sometimes they reside in parks, sometimes they go through trash to recycle and make a couple of bucks! No way! Never could have seen that coming!
Management - They have done everything they were supposed to do! They fixed problems when reported! They were nice. We were able to pick up packages & not have them stolen. They let us purchase an extra parking spot. If you know someone will always need parking and is not on the lease, consider that option.
To address some more posts:
Never had a car broken into. - It kinda helps a bit if you don't leave your headset on & a stack of CDs in the front seat or any other signs that say "Hey, break into me!"
Never seen "elderly people go through the trash". - Oh my gosh. People get old. You might if you don't die first. Maybe some of these not so youthful people are the homeless mentioned above. Homeless people aren't all hot 20-somethings apparently. If this means you can't rent the apartment, then don't.
Well, do what you will and have fun and consider this apartment if you want to live in this area and not deal with street parking.
(Cat deposit also included in deposit amount.)
