My daughter just moved into the revamped Broadcast Center. I visited and I think the place is really great. The fittings in the appartment were great -- the kitchen, the TV (included), nice fixtures and fittings.
The pool and other facilities are in great shape.
Others have commented on high rent but I think the rates are in line with LA prices. And it is a really great location.

I just moved out of BC into a much nicer, much bigger apartment in the same great area for $950 less per month. The new place grants much more privacy and a lot less hassle-- no nasty "friendly reminders" from staff stuck to the door scolding tenants for things they didn't do, very expedient response to complaints, etc... The only advantage on BC's side is the included fitness center, which, while convenient, is not worth $950/month. I have a lot of friends living in the area who have had excellent experiences in very nice apts for a lot less $$. I'm glad I finally woke up to the reality that the "this is how much things cost in L.A" line, coming from BC, is just not true.

Well! Unfortunately the prices everywhere are ridiculous if people can't afford there homes how can they afford this kind of rent. I feel for the single parent God help us! Yes, i liked broadcast but tooooo many people! Outside! Great for singles and peeps in the business, but not family. Tooo small and they don't have wash and dryer in the units. Overall i liked it. Very nice staff and they too like hillcrest keep in touch with you. Considering this is Los Angeles i really can't complain about prices and living area. I would recommend this place. It isn't for me. U can get a 2500sqft. apartment for same price and not all the crowdeness. U will still be centrally located. Excuse my spelling! I just learned to live on less! Godspeed!
