The apartment is OK, and it's in a rent controlled area, so my rent remains reasonable (though I hear the new people moving in are paying significantly more), but as soon as I can, I'm moving elsewhere. The management doesn't follow through with what they say they're going to do. I've started having to take things into my own hands... things such as enforcing "no parking" restrictions, posting "no smoking" signs, etc. Residents shouldn't have to take charge of these things when there's onsite management. Also, there's something wrong with the plumbing here. The water is undrinkable, and comes out orange if not run at least once per day. The management refuses to address the issue, claiming that it'll run clear if you run it enough. It still remains undrinkable, however.
I agree with the others on one thing -- the office staff is very friendly. They're great if your biggest problem is a termite swarm or a clogged drain. If you have a bee swarm or complain about the water quality, don't expect anything other than to basically be told that you have to deal with it as there's nothing they can do. Same with if you routinely get blocked into your assigned parking spot by people violating the posted "no parking" signs.
