I have lived here for a couple of years and it was a nice place at first, but it seems that the managers have taken less of an interest in allowing only tenanats move in that will take care of the property and be respectful of their neighbors. Tenants are always blaring their music in their vehicles as they drive down one of the two driveways on either side of the building (all apartments have to hear them as they drive by).
Smokers are always flicking their butts on the grass or other common areas rather than properly disposing of them. Other tenants are marijuana smokers and have been known to camp out in the back parking lot and light up. This was recently cracked down on, but has started to make a resurgence again.
Kids (both resident and neighborhood) have recently decided to make the central common area their own personal skateboard park. The noise from the crashing of the boards on the cement walkways can be highly distracting to the point that you would want to close your front windows and doors to have some sort of peace.
The 2 laundry rooms (4 washers and 4 dryers for a complex of over 40 units) are frequently full. And when you can manage to get an open machine, you will frequently find that it's not functioning well and will take your recently raised operating fee without working as you'd expect.
My unit has always had a problem with plumbing that has never been adequately resolved. The water has a light brown tinge to it and from faucets that don't turn off complete and drip, you can see the brown stains over time.
Lastly, I'm not sure if it was the unit to the side of me or below me that has sustained the disgusting and unsanitary cockroach infestation, but I have tried both commercial and personal bug bombs to kill them and laid many many traps for them, but they keep coming. The building needs a serious commercial pest fogging. Good luck, with that.
I guess on the plus side....the rent is month-to-month....so you can move out if you don't like it. I'm in the market to move and will terminating my stay as Casablanca North in the near future.
