FYI,
Claire Manor was built by my grandmother in the late 1950's. She was an attorney in Los Angeles (a woman ahead of her time) and a real estate investor. She lived on the property for many years until she moved away to be closer to the ocean. For many years, my family spent summer days at Claire Manor, using the pool and visiting with my grandmother's niece, who was the manager at the time. A lot of famous and not-so-famous people have passed through here. Can't beat the location--walk to the Hollywood Bowl or down to the Boulevard. The "Claire" is my mother.
