Nice gated community

This place is ok. It's clean, quiet (for the most part), and most importantly, cheap. Although the rent is fairly low, it seems to be set high enough to prevent hordes of unemployed delinquents from moving in, which is definitely a plus. As other reviewers said, its location is really convenient since there are so many stores within walking distance (Ralphs, Albertsons, RiteAid, Bank of America etc.) What's so interesting about Gloria Homes is that within the gates that surround the community, you have a 'decent' to dare I say 'good' neighborhood. But, once you leave those gates, all bets are off!

Your entire post sounds like sour grapes. I am glad they do not allow section 8. That means we won't have ghetto type neighbors who don't know how to live around people without having loud arguments, blasting irritating music, standing around outside their apartments like they don't know how to go inside their homes and children that are poorly behaved. If one of these types manage to slip in at least they don't stay long. If they had section 8 we'd never get rid of them. My main issue with Gloria Homes is they never change the carpet, EVER.

Anonymous, You need to read the other complaints people have left here at apartment ratings about Gloria Homes. Section 8 was not even their issue, I introduced or brought the section 8 topic to the forefront. Gloria Homes avoids section 8 because they know there building in its current condition would never pass a section 8 inspection. Gloria Homes has a million problems and they can't blame section 8 for none of those problems, I let my voucher expire because i didn't need it anyway. I didn't want to let it go at first, But then i realised i would be a fool to give up this apartment where i currently live with all the amenities i have here just to utilize a section 8 voucher. I am not bitter or sour because i didn't get into Gloria Homes, Gloria Homes is a Dump at best and they eventually turn on their tenants anyway. Whether a person has a section 8 voucher or a good paying job the bottom line is they should avoid Gloria Homes like the plague they can do better. I'm better off where i currently reside and i realise that now, Because Gloria Homes is no comparison to what i have here. When you drive pass Gloria Homes the apartments look one step away from being condemned. And with this crumbling economy with all the job layoffs and forced evictions Gloria Homes will be sorry that they didn't accept a program such as section 8 because, section 8 is a program that will give the landlord their rent money anyway regardless of the tenants financial obligation.
