Bad (real bad) management! Stay Away!

I have to agree with the previous post (10/12/2003). When I first moved to the apartment, the management was excellent. They will deal with you and try to resolve the problem. However, current management - ----- (manager) and ---- (assistant manager) is just pathetic. When you need something from them, they will ask you to come back later because they have to finish some paper work - whatęs more important than taking care of your tenenats!'!'!'!
Also when you move out, expect them to rip you off. I was charged $120 (cleaning) $200 (painting) $100 (etc.) = about $400 for something I believe is not my fault. I had a water leakage from the ceiling and they charged me for the painting. When I argued (I had to call them because I was out of town) them that itęs the water leakage, they told me it was my fault. Because I moved out of town, I couldnęt do anything.
The company managing the Heights Apartment should replace the management.
One nice thing about the apartment. If you need to get something fixed, the maintenace team will fix it for you - 100 % satisfaction. The guy named ---- will fix just about anything. He does an excellent job and he was the only good thing about staying at Heights Apartment.
Alternatives:
you want to find a nice apartment near by Heights then drive near by Hillside Memorial Park. There is a funeral home on Centinela Ave. and an area north of this place has some nice apartments. I don't know the price range.
Overall:
I woulnęt stay in this apartment. I will try to find some place else. I had so many headaches with the current management that I rather not go through that again.
FYI: I found out that R.W. Selby (managing Heights Apartment) has been charged previously with an improper security deposit scam. Here is the link:
http://www.dailybruin.ucla.edu/db/ suggest former tenants - who have been improperly charged during the move out - file a complaint against this company to the California Attorney Generalęs office.
