After nearly 2 years of nothing but complaints, no one has posted anything since 10/04. Does that mean things have turned around at the Heights'

Does anyone have any current information about this place' Or should I go to the BBB' gkZ41df9CgXQPfm8K2A7

i don't know what to do. this place is so dangerous on so many accounts.
people have been robbed at gunpoint inside the security building.
nothing works inside this apartment. there is boiling water in one of the toilets and they refuse to fix it.

The problem with Apartment Ratings is that Most people only come here when they have had a bad exp. Very few come to post about any good exp. that they may have had. I lived at the heights. It is a great place. There are some downsides , however there are downsides to all apt. Complexes. People forget when they want things to be exactly the way they like them, they should buy homes. Hope that helps a little. Just my opinion though..

I just moved out of The Heights (August 2007). It was fine while I lived there. The problem is that they have a scam to keep your cleaning deposit when you leave. I heard about it from a colleague who moved out last week. No matter how well you clean, they clean again. But the big scam is painting. They basically charge you $330 to paint your entire apartment based upon a few smudges on the walls. The California Tenants Law is clear -- and The Heights quotes it in their contracts -- that you may only be charged for damage in excess of normal wear and tear. I lived in my apartment about a year. There were some nail holes in the walls and some smudges -- nothing in excess of normal wear and tear. Yet they plan to charge me the full cost of painting my apartment. They also plan to charge me for cleaning blinds that are six feet over my head (the apartment has a loft and vaulted ceilings in the living room) and other nonsense. I plan to fight.
