We have lived in this building for almost three years and are generally satisfied. After several different managers (some of whom were nightmares) they finally hired one who has managed to last for almost a year so far. We have no complaints regarding this manager - he is friendly, non-invasive and always takes care of our maintenance requests.

The rent is comparable to other buildings in the area - and the floor plans aren't bad. There is a pool and jacuzzi - which are usually pretty clean, but the weight room is pathetic. When we were shown the apartment, we were told that the gym was being remodeled - and would be equipt with all new machines - which, of course never materialized.

There is one laundry room with five washers and five dryers. One plus is that the machines operate with a laundry card, thus eliminating the need for quarters.

The building does allow pets - both cats and dogs, which is a really great feature. Most pet owners are responsible, however, there are a few - particularly the one mentioned in the first review, who have left messes behind.

One negative aspect, is that in spite of written notices posted by management, there are tenants who insist upon leaving stairway exit and side doors propped open, leaving the building accessible to someone who may not belong here. The neighborhood, although in the heart of Hollywood, is basically safe and surprisingly quiet. Most of the tenants are friendly people, many of whom work in the entertainment industry. There doesn't seem to be the high percentage of riff raff that exisits in so many other Hollywood apartments.
