When I lived there I thought it was one of the best and worst places to live. The building was full of musicians and artists and other young struggling types. I loved the atmosphere very much. The building itself was in disrepair, cockroaches etc.,and I don't imagine it's much different now, but the architecture is beautiful. The Julie Lee was probably built in the late '20's or early 30's and it shows. The worst part about living there was the apartment manager was an old disgusting lecher. His name was Mr. Domingues and if you're a pretty young female and he's still the manager, don't move in! He used to ask me for intimate relations instead of my rent money and he was very persistant. Obviously, I had to move. Bummer, becaused I loved it there.

YES....I rememebr the VILE Mr. Dominguez. It was not only WOMEN he bothered sexually. He made life hell there and I chose to leave after 4 year in the building. Complaints to the owner, BRUCE, always went ignored, no matter how serious. It is years later now and I am still angry at the constant harrassment I received there and how little the owner cared. I DO NOT recommend this place. There is a night club only a few FEET away and you will be woken up every single night at 2 am.
