good location for young scene - but no guest parking From: -Anonymous- Date posted: 11/30/2002 Years at this apartment: 2002 - 2002   mostly younger (20-something) people live here, it's loud and fun, but obviously not a great area to raise a child or enjoy a calm atmosphere. it is a typical apartment building, nothing luxurious but certainly adequate. it's only a few blocks from the hollywood/highland area, which is good and bad. It's right near the subway (yes there is a subway and it's a great commute option if you have to go downtown,) but there's always filming on hollywood blvd so the streets are often blocked/closed; lots of bars and other nightlife are close by, even walking distance; drug dealers, strip clubs/sex shops and tourists abound, but as a 25 year old female i wouldn't call it a scary or unsafe area. just a tad bit seedy.
