I was a bit suprised to see the ratings for this complex so low. I have lived here for about a year and a half and have generally been satisfied. The rent is very reasonable and the location is great. I don't agree with the negative reviews of the manager--granted I haven't interacted with him much, but I would call him abrupt yet reasonable--not rude. If you want rude managers, move to NYC--you will have a whole new standard by which to judge. My only concerns with this place are probably those that cannot be easily changed. If you decide to live here, try to chose an apartment facing New Hampshire, not Vermont. Vermont faces the backside of the post office, which frequently wakes me up at all hours with loud trucks--and I am not a light sleeper. The gym is very small and doesn't have much variety--in my opinion it is good for a quick no-frills workout when you don't have time to drive to the gym. If you want something nicer, pay up for a nicer complex or get a gym membership. Lastly, the parking garage gets broken into once a year or so. This is a big city, and unfortunately you can't do much about random crime, but I feel like the building tries to do its best to handle the situation. There are a lot of video cameras in the parking garage, but unfortunately all it takes is a hooded sweatshirt to defeat them. Take it for what it is, but I do feel like the building makes an honest effort to prevent stuff from happening. It would be nice if New Hampshire were slightly better lit at night, but generally (as a small, single female) I feel safe walking over to Vermont by myself at night. Overall, this place is a good deal for the location.
