The place looks good from the outside and it's in the middle of Los Feliz: this is good because there are many things within walking distance, but it's also bad because it's terribly noisy and busy. But that's where the good stuff ends. This is as far from a luxury building as Skoda is from being a luxury car. Believe me, it's true. In the summer your will see an invasion of termites and bugs and the occasional cockroach in the kitchen; the counters are old and difficult to maintain clean, no matter how much you scrub them. The water is turned off every Tuesday (I've never lived anywhere where that happene). There are some nice people living here, but on the whole there is nothing especially friendly about the crowd as the add on the website makes believe. For a lot of them it's hard to say hello when you run into them in the elevator, and I have not had anybody say hi in the small weight room. Also I was robbed of three pairs of shorts from the dryer last month: pathetic. The building is not well kept (one of the hallway light caps has been lying around for weeks something not uncommon). The worst is the manager though. He acts as the if he were the CEO of a large corporation and being nice to people and dealing with all the maintenance stuff were beyond him. He's pretentious in trying to sell something the building is not (i.e. a pool does not luxury make). Be careful if something malfunctions because he will ask you if you broke it instead of simply thanking you for letting him know and getting on to fix it. He is generally sour and intimidating. He sounds professional, but he isn't. Instead of being nice and attentive, he tends to get defensive and curt. I am sorry I came here and as soon as my lease is up, I am bailing. And I am not a partier, believe me.
