I have lived in California for a little over six years. I have lived in apartments from Orange County to Hollywood. Long Beach to Inglewood, and for each location, nothing compares to being where I am now. For the first time I can actually park my car off the street without worrying about street sweepers and their crazy time frames. I have the option to take a swim in a heated pool!! The jacuzzi is the best looking spa I have ever seen, it has a waterfall!!! I thought that was kinda cute. There's a bbq area, courtesy patrol and we get landscapers out twice a week which keeps my home looking great. I saw that the only reviews for where I lived where horrible ones. But I have to say that..if you are happy, you rarely go out of your way to show it. But today I'm gonna go out of my way. I shopped around for apartments in this area and found them to be the lowest priced apartments with many of the name amenities if not more. There is a business center with free internet, a clubhouse and gym. The managers throw parties every three months for the people who live here. The managers are pretty cool people. And I am not ashamed to say that they kinda helped me when I needed it. I have a neighbor that has been here for over ten years and he says he'll never move because ever since the new owners took over the whole place got alot better. I don't think I'll move either because the alternatives are just as nice, but cost much more. I wanted the Madrid staff to know that they have a lot of happy people, I just took the time to type it for them. Thanks again...

Yes, are you nuts? The managers are morons who are looking to please the owner. And there is NOOOOOO courtesy patrols - they just say that. The patrols may happen inside the building but outside on the balconies where they NEED to be patrolled, there is none! I call the police all the time (they hate this place too!) I think the managers wrote the review.

I live across the street from this nightmare and believe me there is no patrol, no control and most of all no respect from many of the tenants who live there. In the summer there are parties all the time (weekdays too) and we hate it. We call the police frequently too. Many come home drunk and attempt to park on the street but take forever with their music blasting and loud voices. They think they are the only ones who live here and have no respect at all. They also leave all the fast food trash in the street - pigs! This place is a set-up for students. It looks nice on the outside so you'll believe anything LOL. Oh BTW there was a murder outside on the street in Aug '07. Think twice before coming to this noisy neighborhood.
