DO NOT LIVE HERE

Years at this apartment: 2003 - 2004
This was my first apartment, and it was horrible. At first, everyone seemed very nice, but then the problems started. My water heater burst (twice) and when they came into my apartment to fix it (when I wasn't home) they somehow got everything in my apartment wet, even though there is no way the water got that far. Also, the noise is worse than you can ever imagine. It felt like earthquakes throughout the day, and I know earthquakes (I went through the 1989 San Fran. quake). And since you are so close to the airport, it never gets dark! And then, when I finally was out of my lease and left, they had the balls to tell me that I owed them money above and beyond the $1000 deposit that they would not give back to me. Their reason: water damage to the entire apartment. That water damage was due to their water heater breaking twice, no fault of my own. After they threatened me, I paid them the extra $750 just to get them out of my life. If you can put up with this, congratulations for being an amazing person and by all means move into the Madrid. If not, find a better place such as in West LA where is it quiet and the prices are better.
