Horrible Management and Car Theives

Yes, the gate was stuck closed last week. And just last night - It was stuck open! A diabetic woman passed out in her car, with her windows open and her purse in the passenger seat. She awoke to find 2 teenagers with bandanas covering their faces peering into the car next to her. She yelled out and scared them away, but what if they had decided to attack her!' I mean, one woman all by herself with a cell phone and purse in her seat..... Another persons car was broken into.
Also, the fire alarm went off twice. First at 10pm and then at midnight. One good thing is that during the evacuation I got to meet alot of other tenants. ALL complain about the management and building and theres even a surprising amount in a lawsuit with Masselin Apartments!
Honestly, I can let ALOT of things slide.... but when tenants cars are literally getting broken into every couple weeks, shouldnt they do something about it'' Or when fire alarms go off in the middle of the night with no reason, shouldnt they invest in cameras or 24hr security!'!'
They dont care about tenant safety... Its clear this apartment (excuse my language) SUCKS ASS.

Wow, how things changed, and some NOT. This was my first apt in LA, and I lived here from 94-95. I loved the location it was near the Tar Pits, LACMA and PanPacific Park. At the time a husband/wife team were the property managers, and they took really good care of the property. Grounds were kept neat, inside building was always clean and maintained, the building was always secure, no crime problems. I finally ended up moving in '95 when the management changed, the new manager was really awful at her job. I guess the property has gone downhill..... We used to get continuous fire alarms and that's what finally drove me away.
