Don't be fooled by the facade

Despite the nice facade and being built in 2002, the main problem is the cheap construction. Sitting in our apartment my wife and I could hear our next-door neighbors talking, arguing, and having sex. We could hear where our upstairs neighbor was walking around, as well as hear him/her urinate. This is not a joke.
The management issue is a serious one - all of these postings can't be wrong. They are totally disorganized. About two months after we moved in we needed a new mailbox key, but they had no paperwork on file indicating that we had been living there! We had to furnish our copies of the lease to show the management that we were in fact tenants in their own building. My favorite incident was when they came into our apartment to remove our $1000 patio set from the balcony and politely parked it in our living room - the management only allows their cheap, green plastic chairs from Walmart on the balcony to maintain the facade.
The amenities are certainly nice, but the drawbacks far outweigh them. This summary is not a list of horror stories - it is simply a limited description of the kinds of things one has to put up with at the Medici.
