The worst management ever. Rude, incompetent staff ever

I have lived at the Medici for 3 years while I was a student at USC. The only thing Medici has going for it is the building itself.

The management is so incomptentent. They've lost my rent payment twice. They've towed my own car in my own assigned parking spot (and yes, I had to pay to get it out myself). When my boyfriend's motorcycle got stolen in the garage, they refused to help us even though they had videotape footage of the incident in the parking garage (what the hell, then, it the point of even having video cameras') When we went into the leasing office to tell them about the incident, they forced us to leave because they didn't want the prospects who were viewing the property to hear about the theft issue pervading Medici. They don't give a crap about their residents. They take several days to weeks to fix even simple requests. When you call and follow up, oftentimes they didn't even put the work order in. Their "package retrieval system" is total nightmare. I takes anywhere from 10 minutes up to an hour to get your package. Their "business center" is just one fax machine and two computers. They are always broken.

Apparantly, theft is a HUGE problem at Medici. I've heard of two cars that have gotten broken into during my time parked at P3. There are bums on Bixel and 8th 24-7. And a prostitute that hangs out on Bixel and 7th. I'm not kidding.

Good luck with parking.

I remember there was one incident when Bixel St. was completely blocked off because there was a drive by shooting. The cops were all lined up ON Bixel (just before entering the 110 freeway). It made breaking news on every TV station. When we called the leasing office, they wouldn't even tell us what was going on.

The fire alarm goes off randomly all the time. I saw firetrucks on Bixel almost every other week responding to false alarms. (This was especially annoying when I had exams to study for.)

But if you must live here, don't live on the street level. I know a student's apartment recently got broken last year on the street level.

If it weren't for the fact that I hate moving to new places and the fact that place was the nicest apartment near USC, I would have moved out sooner.

The only exception is one --------american lady who was just hired right before I left. I don't know her name, but she's the ONLY person who is decently knowledgable and concerned for residents. She was really nice and greeted everyone respectfully. Not the typical "what do you want" glare most of the other employees gave.

The manager is the biggest bug-eyed ----- ever.

Don't stay here unless you have to.
