what i should have done when i first moved here was to believe all the reviews on this site about the medici. but no. i figured that since i was given such an amazing tour of the property and grounds i should give it a chance and ignore all the bad things about this place that past (and current) tenants have said. here is a breakdown of why you should absolutely not live here. i have never lived at a place where i would bother to write a complaint on a site like this. this goes to show how extremeley pissed off i am of living here.

1. moved here only 2 months ago. toilet was broken the first day i moved in. 2 months later, it is still broken.

2. called to complain about 7-8 different times. wrote emails, complained to the leasing office, the manager, the assistant manager. same answer given to me 7-8 times "we will put in a request, we must as the maint. manager"

3. on 4 different occassions, a strange man would knock on my door in the middle of the night and stand there all creepy (says a lot about their patrol services and safety)

4. visitor parking' forget it. none whatsoever. they reserve spots for the vip residents. if you come to the visitor parking lot right now, you will see this one black porche parked in the handicap parking every night. (no placard. he's not even handicap)but they let him park there. thats like his "spot" i guess.

5. they put cones in front of the prospective parking spots and save them and claim it's for the manager. (who doesn't even live here)

beautiful grounds. very well kept. but you only ask yourself, is this all worth it when you are working everyday making money to pay for an apt that isn't even worth the price' living with a bunch of FIDM students who party til dawn. (btw, this is

one of the places FIDM houses their students)
if you are a hard working career girl like me who was willing to pay $1800/mo for a tiny one bedroom (excluding utilites) you can get a much better place somewhere else in downtown la.

i moved here and didn't mind paying so much cause i thought it was worth it. i could not have been more wrong. i am so bitter to have signed a lease. i cannot wait to move out. i hate coming home.

don't bother complaining to anyone in the leasing staff. they are all completely useless.

i'm considering paying 2 months rents to just break the lease.

well as one of those FIDM students who lives in the building, not all of us party till dawn and most wait till friday to do it, and ucla and AI colleges uses this place too, you should complain to our schools about it, I think its stupid mixing working people with college people, but theres nothing you can do about it right now. and most of the time if you ask nicely they will let you park in guest parking, or you can get out of your car and move the cones, most of the time they do nothing. my bf has done it many times.
