Medici is horrible because of the management and staff

Such a beautiful building, such a great location, but I could never recommend the Medici to anyone due to the wholly incompetent and rude staff. We've lived there for 8 months and they have consistently surprised us at the terrible level of service they provide.

If you speak to the manager ---, she will blame it on the "high maintenance" residents who live there, but will fail to acknowledge how rude her staff is and difficult it is to get the most remedial tasks done.

They've lost our mail packages, our leasing application, and thoroughly screwed up our parking. Its really a shame because the Medici is the prettiest building in downtown, but embarrasses Los Angeles through the personnel that handle the complex.

When the 10 or so cars were burglarized in the parking complex, we notified security who laughed at us and said "they got broken in, what do you want us to do." No one cares there and do more to make your life difficult than provide a pleasant living experience.

There is plenty of competition in the area, and as the word regarding the service at the Medici gets around, I think (hope) the owners will take some pride in their asset and eventually bring in a staff that can maximize it's value.

i agree with your review. medici is a nice building. but the managmenet makes a huge difference that i would never recommend anyone from living there either. when i was leaving medici, i had to call managment total of 7times before they finally called me back to set up an appointment for a walk through. and on the day of the walk thru, ------- was 30mins late to show up despite the fact that i asked her to PLEASE come on time since i was on my lunch break. I still have not seen the security deposit check and judging from the management's rude and irresponsible behavior, i have a feeling they will take their time, rip me off, and if i complain they will just be super rude back. i know medici claims to have changed managment many times but i do not see any difference in their behavior. all the problems mentioned are still a problem. you will be amazed with just how much difference management has on your living situation. i never knew until i lived here. trust me, you will regret it if you live here.
