Ever since I've moved into this building, it's been one headache after another. After I moved all my furniture in, the management told me about their "rules." If I had known about them upfront before I'd moved in, I probably would not have moved in.
Basically the rules are a sham to squeeze as much money as possible out of their residents (as if we weren't already paying enough in rent!!) For instance, the lofts here have electronic locks that are rather hard to get used to, and if you ever get locked out, you have to pay $50 for the two minutes of time it takes the security guard to open your door. Additionally, if you have a house cleaner, you can't make a copy of your key for her, so you have to pay the management $100 to get a copy. I could go on and on with examples like these.
The Met Lofts also boast that they have a "concierge," but every time I've asked the so-called concierge to do any concierge services (nothing unusual, just things like holding onto a package that my friend dropped off for me while I was at work), the answer always is, "I'm not permitted to do that." So basically they have a concierge who is not permitted to do normal concierge services.

My husband and I were going to move into these lofts. They give you a real good story up front about how great it is, blah, blah, but definitely don't tell you all the rules and regulations and "fine print". We found out before moving in, but not until after it was too late to get our deposit back. Very thankful we didn't get stuck in a lease at this place, but pretty pissed off they lied to us, took our money and now won't return our calls Very shady business techniques. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone.
