With all the new options downtown right now it would be a grave mistake to sign a lease with the Metropolitan. First off, I got sucked into a lease with the lie that the appliances were going to be changed out. Never happened. Second, they've been promising us a new gym for the past year and a half, and swore up and down that it would be done this fall. Never happened. And now, to add insult to injury the gym we do have consists of two eliptical machines and two staionary bikes, one of which dosen't even work! Oh yes we do have treadmills, but they don't work either- AT ALL! There used to be a TV in the excercise room and Recreation room, but they have been disconnected for the past six months. Yes we do have a place to barbeque and pool, but the grills are never cleaned and filled with dead bugs and snails. To their credit they have fixed the exterior of the building, but that only masks the bad state of the units. They should have spent the money eleswhere, I would rather have a microwave that works rather than a green or orange balcony. The units are not bad, but they are not worth the price. Move to the Pegasus, or Gas Company lofts-you'll pay the same price with a nicer space. Parking is also $100. The manager is totally inept, but nice as are the leasing agents. DONT spend your money here, I totally regret buying into their sales pitch!

As Resident Associate of The Met I would like to let everyone know that we do greatly appreciate all ratings (good or bad). Without our residents feedback we wouldn't be able to serve you as best possible. In regards to exchanging appliances: we are continually replacing them throughout the building. Unfortunetly we are unable to simply switch them all out at one time, so we must first replace any current ones that may break during the renovations. Once we have surplus, we gladly put them into the residents' homes who are scheduled for new, updated appliances (we too understand that appearance is as important as function!). And while the new gym is not yet complete, we have installed new equipment in the current gym and are working towards its completion as well (phase 2 of 3). We have also begun looking at all the exciting possibilities for the current gym's space and taking resident's requests into consideration (ideas have ranged from a private screening room to DVD library room). And once the gym's TV was returned, we were able to reinstall the cable in all common areas with televisions. So please, continue to give us your feedback! We at The Met want to work as hard as possible to ensure our residents' satisfaction! -Evan :)
