poor management bad apartments From: -Anonymous- Date posted: 12/12/2007 Years at this apartment: 2007 - 2007   I would not reccomend this place. It has great amenities however the management is fairly poor. Don't be fooled by their good looking staff either! The amenities are available 24 hours a day which is nice however when somethign breaks it does not get fixed. BAD THINGS: 1.Parking is god awful. In fact you are not allowed to have visitors unless they want to pay money to park. (Parking around is expensive bc or Chinatown and Olvera St). There is NO guest parking (3 spots available only after 7PM and until 8AM daily.) 2.Dogs. I reccomend this as a good option if you have a dog however if you dn't please realize that about 75% of residents do and I have seen poo everyhwere from stairwells to the elevators. 3. Broken gym equipment hasn't been fixed in 5 months! 4. The fire alarm keeps going off and they won't fix it. It makes you leave your apartment and is a huge inconvenience 5. Parking is tandem and extra for the 2nd spot 6. It is VERY loud. they knew of this problem and installed double glass windows in all the apts and this works for passing cars however the surrounding streets often have police/ambulance sirens (at least 5/night) and trains going around too. 7. there are security guards however there have been MANY robberies apparently. Bums walk around the property and i have seen them in amenity rooms as of 12/12/07. 8. don't let the managers tell you they are working on these problems bc thats what they told me and they haven't done anythign or even let us know they are trying. GOOD: it is next to Union station so if you take public transportation it is perfect. it has a nice view from the rooftop pool overlooking downtown. ppl around are young and nice. I have lived here for 5 months and if the rent is not the same there is NO way I will stay here. Good luck.
