Really not as bad as other reviews make it out to be. But make sure you go in with both eyes open!

I have lived at this place for the past year and am moving. Not because the management sucks, or the noise, or the smell, or anything else that other reviews have said, but because they are increasing an already high rent. I moved in on a promotion that gave me a free 42'' HDTV and a month's free rent. That made the rent bearable, but it was still a lot. I refuse to pay for r the same.
As for management, I had no problems with them until I moved out. They tried to charge me a ridiculous amount above my security deposit for "damages" that were caused by faulty construction, and not by me living there. As far as other things, you have to bug them a couple of times to get stuff done, but it gets done. This isn't different from anyplace else I have ever lived.
If you have two cars you get a tandem parking spot, something that they don't make clear in the leasing process, but it really isn't that inconvenient. It is assigned parking so you always have your spot. Guest parking sucks, with only 5 slots for the whole apartment complex, and then only after office hours. A couple of blocks away is street parking in Chinatown, but that definitely is an inconvenience.
The apartments are nice and new (only a year old), and the grounds are not great, but they do clean them regularly.
I would live here again if rent was slashed by about $400/month, but since it is not, I am going elsewhere.
Also if you have a room on Caesar Chavez or Alameda you can't open your windows at night due to noise. I had a room that opened up to the interior of the complex and I always slept with my window opened no problem.
