This building has a legal exemption from the L.A. City rent control ordinance -- they may legally raise your rent as often as they want by as much as they want. In the past 7 years (2001-2008), the building has seen two owners, three management companies and EIGHT resident managers. The elevator has been broken for the past MONTH (as of 8-5-08). There is NO parking -- you have to buy a street permit from the city and fend for yourself on the overcrowded streets. The laundry room floods, the washing machines break regularly. The sidewalks are littered with dogsh*t. The list goes on...
