This place is terrible. The management treats you like dirt with NO respect,
and you will soon feel like a prisoner. They lie, steal, and nickel and dime
you to death. It really does feel like a prison in some ways. People fight in the
laundry rooms and steal your laundry. Overflowing trash, graffiti, not enough
parking after 7:00 PM, etc, etc, etc.
I finally left and never got my deposit back, and no explanation why. It's unbelievable that LA City allows them to operate like that, and treat renters like that. It's shameful and says something about city council that they're allowed to operate like that.
There were lots of problems, but some were rediculous and must be illegal. The water would back up from the drain into the kitchen sink periodically and leave "sludge" all over the sink and bathtub. It was scary. The management wouldn't do anything about it. The scariest thing of all has to be the maintenance guys, who all have access to keys to all the units. They would enter when they wanted to, with no warning, and not leave when you asked them to. You have no rights when you live there. It's really unbelievable.

If it was so terrible, why did you live there for five years? Were you sentenced there for that long?

This is yet another competing local landlord posting horrible things about my neighborhood and neighbors. I have never had any problems like this. Seriously, take your meds as prescribed or get out of the landlord business.

I'm guessing he moved out at the end of his year lease when the management changed recently, and the construction started. From what I've heard, they've gotten a lot worse. Haven't seen or heard about laundry problems yet. But (alas), I moved in recently without doing the proper research :-(

Competing landlord. Yeah, right! PLB Mgmnt has started posting here again. didn't you guys learn? I have a whole can of Whuppass for you. Everything this reviewer said I now to be true except for the fighting but there could have been fights when people stole laundry. My roomate had a nice sweater stolen in the laundry. I have never had a resident that liked PLB disagree with me about the bad things I had to say about PLB and they certainly never were rude and told me "to take my meds". That is totally PLB Mgmnt talking here. I think they get a little pissed when we post the truth here. They should do themselves a favor and try and fix the problem rather than try and cover it up. In posting here they are just trying to cover up the problem but PLB is too old to cover up anything anymore. They need to realize it is time to deal with it or "get out of the landlord business". As far as being sentenced to live there, yes it can be a sentence. Read the other reviews. It is very hard to get out of this place. PLB Mgmnt uses a lot of confusion about when you can break your lease. It is very hard to get out of there. A lawyer is recomended.

Yeah, right....I'm a landlord. PUH-LEASE. Take your OWN meds. I made the mistake of giving PLB a deposit before I read the lease. People, ask to read the lease BEFORE giving a deposit, and if they won't let you, DON'T give them any $$$. It's RED FLAG. PLB took my deposit to hold my apt, and on moving day said I needed to give them $2000.00 MORE, or leave and forfeit the $$ I already gave them. I was TRAPPED, and also had already given up my last apt. and hired movers, etc. They are CROOKS.

We should all write the better business bureau and file complaints, I just did.
