even though the majority of the reviews are negative.

Now they allow dogs!! After years of banning them PLB suddenly announces dogs are allowed. Think they based this new policy on resident opinion' No because they never asked us. So now, PLB is telling all of us who live here in part because we don't want to listen to howling and barking all night can go screw.

This policy is fairly typical of PLB but good luck getting anyone in management to explain it because there is no accountability.

Hmm, can't give no stars.

I think the reason that the ratings are still high is because PLB Mgmnt posts fake reviews and pretend to slam PLB but give a really high score. I have seen quite a few of those but I generally don't comment on those. Not really sure about those. Then PLB Mgmnt post good reviews and give a good score also. You can spot those a mile away. I have noticed less PLB posts here lately. Maybe they are changing their tactics? They may have given up on the reviews and just focused on padding their score in the hopes that people checking this site will only look at the score an not read the reviews.

PLB is what it is. If you have kids and can't afford a home- this is the place. You have to be willing to put up with lousy maintenance, kooky neighbors who have been there since Nixon was in office, and management who could care less about the tenants. There is a price to pay just so the kids can have green space to play and ocassionally annoy the childless adults and crazy old people. There are so many new buildings in Los Angeles with all sorts of amenities that are cheaper than PLB.If you are young and have no kids-don't bother with PLB.
