Could be great - but it is not.

They have started a new policy of allowing dogs, but absolutely refuse to enforce the off access areas for the dogs. Currently, there is a resident claiming "medical needs" in a tower apartment where dogs are not allowed, and she has warned small children to stay away from the dog because it bites - that does not sound like a dog trained to meet any medical needs that I know of. This dog also barks its head off, another feature not normal in a dog that would be trained to meet medical needs. The tenant brings her dog into a park area where the signs read "No Dogs" yet when calling security they do nothing about it. To further compound the problem this tenant is surly, and feels entitled to her special exception. The sad thing is she is cause many of the good tenants in the building around her to want to leave - selfish. On a positive note the location is perfect and the grounds are beautiful, yet the management is lame.

I was thinking about signing a lease and I have a 3 year old. What building does this woman live in, because the one thing I cannot tolerate is mean dogs. You don't even have to leave the address, just the park labrea building number. I won't be signing a lease for that building if it's in the same vicinity. Also, if the dog is a nuisance, you can call animal control and they will come and get it.

PLB never asked its thousands of residents before they suddenly, after decades, decided the money was too good and allowed dogs in the so-called garden blocks. So now my formerly peaceful block is filled with yappie little mutts. If you don't like dogs or don't like unaccountable corporate management don't move here. If you have one of those small urban dog things going on, you probably don't care what anyone else thinks, but think twice since most of your neighbors will resent you when you leave your dog home all day long to bark and aggravate everyone. Don't blame yourself though, you're a morally superior being because you hold off your desparate lonliness by buying an animal and keeping it in an inappropriately tiny space.

In fairness to PLB, they got aggressive about dogs in the restricted areas, and the woman from tower 50 has not be in the park since then. With that said the lame "comfort dog" policy basically means that any selfish person can claim loneliness as a medical need, and have an untrained, biting, barking dog in the close quarters of tower living.

In general dogs happen to be a lot more well-behaved than a bunch of spoiled nasty little yelling kids running around screaming their heads off. Some people happen to love animals and like sharing their life with them. What do you fill up your desparate lonely life with ? by having kids and letting them into this nasty world? Not a fair statement, is it?
