This place is awesome! I have lived here for some time now, and I have very little to qualm about. The management is prompt about maintenance issues, the office staff has generally been helpful, and the cost vs what you get seems to be a pretty good value. The ratings, though, always seem to hover around 50%- this confuses me. I have met most of my neighbors, and they all seem extremely happy that they live here. Then something dawned on me- the way that the apartments are set up here almost force a form of community on people. There will be, of course, people who do not like this. There are also the tower apartments, from what I have heard and read, are not something many people are impressed with. This may be what accounts for the 50% rating. I might also be lucky in that I have found a great location in PLB. If you are considering this area (in a very approximately central location of LA's culture) take a tour of PLB and you will understand how a community is fostered here.

This review was obviously posted by someone working for Park La Brea leasing.. . trying to boost their ratings. An honest person would not use "awesome" to describe this place. And no one is confused by the ratings of 49%. The gardens do seem to be a better place to live. .. but, you still have to put up with unruly neighbors' children (they're packing more and more people into these apartments.) Beware.

This does sound a little like PLB Mgmnt again. I guess they are worried about their ratings slip. I had lots of neighbors that did not like PLB. The garden apartments are a better place to live. Unfortunately they are also easier to break into. This happens more often in the garden apts.

Smells like last night's fish! Don't be fooled... this was posted by plb. I'm guessing by some new kid with a fresh new attitude. He's going to come in and change the world. Good luck. I give him three months before he avoids eye contact, ignores angry tenant vm's/lawsuit threats, and worst of all compromises his principles by convincing a poor family that this is a great place to live. P.S. It sucks that I have to remain "Anonymous".. only three months left on my lease!!!!

TOTAL PLB MANAGMENT. SO FAKE AND SO WELL ADVERTISED. NOT!
