I'll just list a couple of problems:

-ROACHES, ROACHES, ROACHES!!!

-Elevators break down constantly, and are in poor condition (when I moved in 2 yrs ago, my agent said, "oh, they're going to put in brand new elevators" - DIDN'T HAPPEN, and IT PROBABLY NEVER WILL). I've already gotten stuck several times w/ my little toddler.

-"Eventually they're going to install Air Conditioners in all the units" - HA! ANOTHER BIG FAT LIE I was told by my agent.

-Management, Staff, Agents - THEY ALL LIE TO YOU! It's unbelievable how misleading they are, and straight out lie to your face.

-Building is OLD. Everything needs repair. Garbage disposal never will get fixed properly. I've had the maintenance guys come by 8 times for just the Garbage disposal. I gave up when the last one told me that it just can't be fixed permanently.

There's much more, but I'll save it for next time. Unfortunately I have to wait couple of more months until I can move out - if I want to avoid paying a $4000 fine for breaking my year lease agreement that is. This place really sucks!!!

Oh, how did they ever get a 48% review on this site' hmmmm.....

Yes this place sucks. They were supposedly redoing the east side completely, adding in more parking and a pool and a gym there two years ago. They still have the model in their leasing office to deceive new tenants. Early last year, they claimed to be getting rid of reserved parking and replacing it with all general on the east side to make parking easier, but the parking situation has yet to change in any shape or form. 1) Call the health department on park labrea. They'll actually do something about it when the government starts hassling them. 2) Don't know what's wrong with your particular garbage disposal, but most just need a hex key on the bottom to loosen it up every now and then. If that doesn't work, keep on their ass until they replace the unit. It's part of the apartment, so if they're not fixing it, they need to adjust your rent or replace it.

If they said that they cannot permanently fix your garbage disposal or remove the roaches, send a certified letter the head of maintenance and the current manager (just call the main number and ask what their names are). Tell them in a professional tone that maintenance has refused to fix a defective piece of equipment and that you hope they are willing to resolve it before you have to file a complaint with the Los Angeles Housing Department (lahd.lacity.org) and/ or before you have to get legal advice.

I can't believe I lived there, and I'm SOOOOO happy I don't anymore. Please do yourself a favor and avoid the place. TOOOOO many reasons to list here.
