this place is a --------. management doesnt even return calls. when you make formal complaints, they dont get answered. many ongoing lawsuits to count-
The one bedroom townhomes are going for the SAME PRICE as the STUDIO APTS in the TOWERS!!!!! the leasing agents constantly lie to you- they are worse than car salesman. they tol;d me that the construction would be no longer than 3 months- it has now been a year!!!! i HAVE HAD TO HEAR DRILLING IN MY WALL FOR THE PAST YEAR!!!! CONSTRUCTION WORKERS HAVE LEFT A MESS ON MY FLOOR, WHEN I CALL TO COMPLAIN, NO ONE CALLS BACK. i once woke up to a construction worker less than two feet outside my window at 7 am (they arent allowed to work before 8) peeking into my bedroom! when i called to complain, they once again ingnored me! they are truly sick people! i have to call LAPD for noise and construction complaints on average of three times a month. the people who post positive reviews here fall into 1 of 2 categories: they 1: work for plb or 2: are severely deluded- ill even throw in a third category- since this place is rent controlled, they could be living here forever and have super cheap rent, as some really old tenants here do.

I've lived here for over 15 years. . .and the place has gone rapidly downhill over the past 2 years. Laying off 20-30 of their landscaping and maintenance people didn't help. Now it takes weeks to get things done. . .and forget about anyone ever picking up the litter. They only do that around the administration building and near units that they're trying to rent. And, don't even get me started on the growing gangs of pot-smoking teenage boys (and a few girls) with their skateboards.

They told me 3-6 months when I moved in two years ago. It will never end. You can see the table they have set up in their leasing office showing plans for a new pool and rearranged parking, etc. None of it will happen. They told me in January last year that they were getting rid of the reserved parking and making it all general on the east side to make parking easier. Never happened. Will never happen. They make too much money on parking for that.

I am going to keep saying this until it gets to everyone in Los Angeles and beyond. Tell everyone you know and ask them to tell everyone they know about the sham, slum that is plb. Do your bit to affect the amount of money they make, that is the only thing these parasites understand. Just know that you are not alone, most of the other 4000 plus units will be experiencing similar problems. Tell people outright NOT TO RENT AT PLB; the rental office is a trap!

This place is definitely a trap. Scammers is what they are. Someone should sue them. Or counter-sue when they sue you. I really felt like doing that when they did it to me.
