They are con artists and will get you to sign a lease, bait and switch. Once you sign the lease, you are trapped! There is no way out of it and once your lease is up it automatically renews for another year. It is impossible to break the lease unless you pay 2 full months of rent plus the current months rent.

The paper-thin windows might as well not be there since they don't keep any noise out. Parking is a mess and there is never any parking when I come after 10 PM. I have to park on the street and then wake up at like 6 am to move my car.

EVIL!!!

Yup! I just moved out this month after 2 yrs - 2nd yr was involuntary (due to the automatic renewal that was mentioned above) The first year I lived without roaches. 2nd yr was a different story. I don't know how people raise kids there. It's disgusting. I now sleep better at nights, knowing that I won't see a roach crawling up my ceiling. Ok. roach is one thing...but The management is a bunch of con artists for sure. They lie through their teeth. Don't get fooled!!! You'll really regret it. The elevators will never get replaced. The AC will never be installed in "every" unit. There will always be a roach problem-no doubt about it. The noise outside will never go away. Parking will always be a struggle. Stay away from PLB! It's a trap for sure.

Yes...I agree. I have had all these problems and MORE. Con Artists is the best description for these people.

Sorry why 3? So high? I encourage everyone here to please post a complaint on the better business bureau, http://www.la.bbb.org/BusinessReport.aspx?CompanyID=1310333 they have a B rating and as a former tenant I am asking ALL to do is please file a complaint or at least copy & paste your reviews you wrote here onto the BBB.org, Park La Brea Management. Thank you!!!! BTW, the roaches...you have legal rights, you can sue them for breach of contract, at least 10% of the 2 years rent you paid and 4 years to sue them, I figure the sooner the better, as they are con artists, no doubt they will say they are bankrupt, blah blah, and you can do it easily in small claims court if you are asking for less than 7500.00, something to think about...I know your pain but none of us should have been taken or treated like savages, write to sueparklabrea@yahoo.com if you're serious about karma smacks!
