Airport noise, vandalism, and rent hikes

I've lived at Park West for a little over a year and it's not the worst place to live, but it definitely has problems. The biggest is vandalism. Other residents (or their guests) constantly vandalize the elevators and the cars in the "secure" parking lot. Even though there are security guards on roving patrol, vandalism and theft seem to be on the rise, so as a single woman, I feel unsafe in the garage at night.
There is also a lot of airport noise which makes it difficult to watch tv. I usually have watch DVDs with the subtitles on (even with the windows closed) so that I can follow the plot.
I also got hit with a hefty $65 rent hike after my first year was up. Normally I wouldn't mind the rent increase, but the quality of the complex and its inhabitants seem to be declining. Every day, it's a little less "luxury" and a little more ghetto.

what are the extent of the vandalism on the cars? being Keyed? broken in to? i am supposed to move in in 10 days. any help would be appreciated.

I live here now and can tell you not to do it. I can't wait till my lease is up in Dec. My roommate had his car broken into and they stole the garage remote control and a roof rack. If you can I would definately try and get your money back you wiill regret it. My opionion of this place is not good and I have a review listed as Don't do it. Sure it is close to everything but it definately isnt worth the $$$

FYI - I used to live at Fountain Park and my car was broken into- they stole my remote control, all my cd's and a bunch of books that I had in the back seat. My friend got his car broken into at Playa Pacifica. Seems like this stuff is happening everywhere around here.

I had a total of 7 tires slashed in 3 months in the parking plus laundry machines are continually broken into and cash stolen plus so many burgularies I have lost count. Worst apts.in the area and management does not care or help or compensate, only put your rent up $100 each year. Avoid this place.
