This Horse Shoe shaped, brick building has withstood earthquakes, riots, outrageous tenants and even worse owners. It has stood the test of time...and because of its design, it is protected from the elements. Particularly where I live.
The front of the building faces north (and as most people may know, the prevailing wind and sun are in the southern exposure). There are Classic Black and White striped awnings, as well as very tall trees in front of my apartment windows. Thus I rarely feel the cold or the heat. Brilliant!! A Green Design from the 1920's.
I have met quite a diverse group of people here, and I fell very comfortable with my neighbors...we are all very independent, but if need be we support each other in times of emergency...like rent control, fire alarms or just a cup of sugar.
I cannot hear my neighbors because of the very solid construction of the walls. The landscaping is reminiscent of the tropics: ferns, bulbs and ivy with

Wow. What a crock of crap. How have you not heard the crazy lady on the first floor go into her screaming fits at 2am? You've never seen that the leasing office is closed by 2:30 on a tuesday?
"Thus I rarely feel the cold or the heat. Brilliant!! " Thats because the heat doesn't work, and there isn't any air-conditioning.
Also, I was there when the tenants "banded together" when the back parking lot policy changed and people lost their parking spots. All those meetings were held and nothing happened. I guess it was a nice gesture, but don't fool readers into thinking that your band of brothers have any real power.
You do know you live in a bad neighborhood...right? Jesus, I could go on. Roaches, people of hispanic background in the dumpster, clanging pipes...I think I've proven my point.

lol..I live here and been here a few months. I mean, it really isn't that bad. Yes we do live in Mexico, but it keep people grounded. be careful. The units are clean and neat, they just need to lil' face lift. New carpet in halls and stairs, couches and better "computer center."

This is a big bag of crap. This person must work for the building or have some kind of interest. This place is terrible. I give it a 1 out of 10 but this person must be one of those people smoking crack in the alleys a few blocks away
