Nightmare of my life !
Park Place Pasadena is AWFUL place to live.I have lived here for 16 months. I couldn t wait to move out. Experience with Management is bloodcurdling because manager Maria Z. id really Unpleasant to deal with. She will make your experience frightful and horrific while you tell her that you are moving out. She dose not have capacity to rent this pathetic place and hence she will try to loot you as much as she can. It seems this is the only marketing strategy she and her company FPI management are left with. This management has no professional ETHICS. Maria is money minded ruthless person. There are facts behind this statements.
Fact 1 :My dishwasher was never working properly, after complaining 7-8 times she is telling me it is just a switch. No maintenance at all. I was tired complaining so I gave up. Fact 2: One day a lady from downstairs came to me stating that her roof is licking and she thinks that s the dishwasher s and sink s water that is flowing in her drawing room. She complained manager and she told us not to use sink for a while. This while was FIVE days which tells you they don t care about any maintenance issue of any level what so ever.
Fact 3: when we told her to move out she suddenly increased rent, also she is such a pathetic person to deal with that stress will become part of your life until you move out completely from this place.
Fact 4: There is NO fitness center and balcony/ patio as they are advertising in their post. The 8 X8 room has two cycles which they define as fitness room. And there is no balcony , which tell you they like to lie and cheat you.
Fact 5: After inspection instead of returning some portion of deposited amount they charge you twice the deposited so that they can renovate their old, like a slum, awful apartment at YOUR EXPENSE. They Lie to you when you rent apartment from them, there are so many hidden charges and issues which they don t tell you when you rent, which is cheating in real world but Maria and company are different as she has no ethics.
One more Fact: Instead of rent increase at every one year she increases it every 6 months as monopoly for these slums. Even she charges you pathetically for parking which looks like a garbage area.
Fact 6: Elevator is full of smoke all the time and there is no cleaning what so ever.
Apartment it self is still okay to live but management will make your life measurable. There is no value of money because you are getting really worst deal and you sign for suffering. Don t PUNISH yourself and beware of this Nightmare.

I am the new assistant manager and I would like to respond to this. Our property features a fitness center and Sun Deck, and we show you each of these BEFORE you ever sign a lease, as well as the entire property. The fitness center pictured in our ads is the exact one that is presently on site. We make no claims to having a full size gym. It is clean, functional, maintained and has 5 fitness machines for your convenience.
We provide the tenants with one parking space for a 1 BR unit. 2 for 2 BR. If you require more than the space provided, there will be a rental fee. There are not an unlimited number of parking spaces, so we must police this accordingly. I have been here for about two months and our maintenance and housekeeping staff are always on top of things. Most work orders are completed within 24 hours, and our grounds and parking areas are cleaned and inspected daily. We sincerely appreciate their hard work, and wonder if you are talking about the same property. You accuse us of false advertising and illegal rent increases which are very harsh accusations. Tenants have the option of signing a ten to twelve month lease. Once this lease expires we offer a six to twelve month lease renewal with a ???percentage of market rate??? increase. This is common practice with most communities in the state. We do not raise rent mid lease. Regarding the deposit. We expect to receive the apartment back in the condition in which it was rented. If there are burn marks, trimmed down fibers, and severe stains all over the carpet, we must replace the ENTIRE carpet. If there is garbage, food residue, and filth we must pay someone to clean it. If the gas range we provided is covered in pan drippings and inches of burnt on crust, then we must charge you to clean it. If the walls are covered in stains and poorly patched holes, we have to hire someone to come remedy this. If these amounts equal MORE than your deposit, then of course you owe the difference. The dishwasher may not have been working due to the food chunks piled in the bottom of the appliance. We have photos if you disagree. You are more than welcome to come back and view the state in which you left the unit. If you are unable to come and view it, we are more than happy to send you the photos. We understand that you are frustrated regarding the damage charges, but we hope this gives you a little understanding that when you move into someone???s property, you need to really take care of it. Otherwise, you will be charged again in your next home. |
