I sincerely don't live at the Pegasus but I WAS thinking of renting there. However I decided to check out some reviews first. I think I only saw a review that was positive about the building, Way too positive. it lists way too many "features" and nothing that relates to the day to day living conditions of the building. I really never seen a resident concerned about sprinklers unless they are a fireman and honestly a fireman would no be physically at the place often enough to give a substantial review nor would they bother with stuff like this. That leads me to believe that it was probably the manager or a member of the staff who wrote it. The message gets a little nasty towards people, calling them fat and Lazy which I think is unprofessional and rude, as a landlord your obligation is to accomodate your tenant no matter if they are fat skinny or ugly or pretty or rich kids. I think all the other reviews seem sincere and therefore prompted me to reconsider renting any space from the pegasus. Honestly I think I already have a a bad impression of the place and will pass that impression to evryone else I know. On the other hand the existing tenants must do something about the situation. If your elevators don't work properly don't wait until somebody has an accident, Report it! For the City of LA Building and safety department, pick up your phone dial 311 and ask for Building and safety and have your landlord reported, if the manager is a snobby bastard there's no much you can do other than show him the middle finger from time to time, not much more you can do about it otherwise. but it is nonetheless his responsibility to ensure that the equipment is working peoperly around the building. If it does not he is in breach of contract and pretty much gives you as a tenant the leverage to claim breach of contract and depart from your lease agreement. Please consider these points I see many consumers get ripped off on a daily basis, many of them have no idea that they have rights, and when I see landlords and management companies taking advantage of people it really rubs me the wrong way. I hope I was some help to someone and I created a little bit of more stress on those who are not doing their jobs properly.
