In the year that I have lived at Poinsettia apartments managment has changed at least 5 times and not improving. Utilities were to be included, when we went to sign the lease only thing included was water. about two months into the lease we started getting charged for water. Not even what you use.. you pay a portion of the entire buildings water.. that means that if you dont use much water and your neighbor takes 6 hour long showers... you pay the same amount! Its a hassle to deal with any of the managment members.. they make you feel as if you are bothering them.
When we moved into the apartment it was livible... now it's VERY noisey and feels like you are living in a college dorm. No one respects the quiet hours, doors are constantley slamming and people are yelling in the pool area. There is also a newborn that Screams... not crys but screams ALL THE TIME! There was a 4 month time frame when people were getting onto the roof and stomping around at 2,3,4am on weeknights. the security service is a joke. Dont even bother calling them. The doors from the garage into the apartments are left wide open so if someone were to walk in when the garage door was open they could take the elevator right up to the living quarters. I have been woken up at least 2 times by someone knocking on my door after 2am. The garage door was broken and left open for 4 days allowing anyone to walk into the building. The water heater broke and there was no hot water for over 5 days. everytime we called to see when it would be back on we were lied to and told in an hour or so. The rent is expensive and was just raised by $75/month to renew the lease.

Good news is if you like frat parties.. you will love it here!

Couldnt have put it better myself. We have the same complaints. The running on the roof, the laughable 'maintanence' the lax security. We were without both power and hot water more than once and for more than one day in a row! Our move in rent was $1200 (for a single w/ loft bedroom) a year later it went up to $1350, a year later they wanted $1650). We moved out and quickly. I would NEVER live here again. I would never recommend this place either - unless you dont like someone!

Same complaints here. In addition to everything that was stated, we now have a new problem: the circuit breaker which controls the electricity in the cable room is broken, so this means that every person who has cable tv, internet or phone installed through that cable room does not get any service. I pay a monthly fee of $180 for my cable service, but because of that cable room I'm not able to receive a signal, so no TV and no Internet. This is happening on a regular basis, every week, several times a week, and it's been 6 months since they said they will fix it. I guess they simply don't want to pay for an electrician, and so we have to put up with constant interruption of our cable service. I am considering moving out.
