Portobello Apartments

great place, good value for your rent From: thx1138p@earthlink.net Date posted: 7/10/2005 Years at this apartment: 2002 - 2004   I lived at Portobello for 2 years (Mar. 2002 to Mar 2004) in a 1 bd unit on the top floor. Aside from some issues with the roof (had some very intense winter storms that caused leaks, which the management responded to immediately,) I really enoyed the time I lived there and felt like I had a great value for the rent I was paying. The unit was cozy, just right for one person with amazing cathedral ceilings and a nice balcony. No problem with noise from other tennants (save for the street traffic on Franklin, but wasn't THAT loud.) Security issues with the garage, my car was broken into twice during my stay (first time, I actually caught the bastard in the act!) but one would have this problem anywhere with an underground parking structure and automatic gate; undesirables can and will sneak in under the gate as its closing. I only left because my job moved from downtown LA to Carson.
