Should've read these reviews before moving to this dump

Promenade Towers looks harmless enough on the outside, but step inside and the nightmare begins. Not only was the apartment not ready when we arrived on our move-in day, but they proceeded to "steam clean" the carpet after we had already moved in, leaving us with a sopping wet floor to try and unpack our belongings on. The whole place constantly stinks like cigarette smoke because new smoke is somehow being pumped out of the vents every time the fan turns on. And I do mean the fan, not the ac. The thermostat and the ac did not work even after 3 different maintenance people came to "fix" it. You have to turn the whole unit off and then on again if you want any cool air. The water service was also a joke. The management would jam notices under your door saying that water service would be gone between 8 am and 6 pm on a given day. Then, not only would the water NOT be shut off that day, it would randomly be shut off another day without another notice. Water would get shut off in the south tower for problems in the north tower. And the water pipe burst under the sink of the tenant living above me, flooded his entire apartment and leaked down multiple floors through the ceilings and walls. Needless to say my apartment was included in this wreckage. Through this whole ordeal, only ONE maintenance guy was on site to deal with the issue! How they expected a single person to handle multiple floors of flooded apartments is beyond me. Then there's the parking...suffice it to say that I had a lovely fluorescent green, brown, and white crusty scum covering my car for months thanks to the mysterious leak above my parking spot. Parking and security problems go hand in hand at Promenade towers...the parking gates were broken for most of my year living there, so they left them open...Then we get a new notice jammed under our door saying that they have had a series of car thefts/break-ins. I wonder how that could've happened'' I won't even go into how incredibly rude and incompetent the management office staff are. And in the end, when I moved out and thought I was free from this nightmare, I find out that they decided to change the end of lease date without notifying me and decide to deduct a month of rent from my security deposit! They argue that THEIR copy of the lease ends Aug. 31 when my copy clearly states Jul. 31! Cheap way of cheating me out of my deposit. I can't believe this management company is still around and in business. DO NO RENT FROM PROMENADE TOWERS!
